Yahoo to Re-Structure

Big news? Let's try huge news. Yahoo has released a press statement explaining how they will organise the company into 3 sections - Audience, Advertiser/Publisher, and Technology.

Yahoo seem to be looking for a new way to compete with Google.
By splitting into 3 major sections, Yahoo will hope to re-focus it's core business and promiss to build a more customer focused business that can push forward with new, more robust technology. They also want to try and dig into what Yahoo calls their "deep audience" to create a new advertising network.

So if Yahoo re-structure and re-build from the ground up, will they have a more technologically advanced and strategic business that can drag back a percentage of the global search monopolly that Google is?

Probably not.
